Dr. Evans aims to make a difference in the lives of his patients by providing the highest quality care in a comfortable environment.  He is Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology

A native Texan, Dr. Evans completed his medical degree and residency in dermatology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.  Dr. Evans furthered his study with a Clinical Fellowship at the St. John's Institute of Dermatology, an internationally acclaimed institution in London, England.  He holds an undergraduate degree from Wesleyan University, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa with high honors in Chemistry.

Dr. Evans has been published in multiple peer-reviewed journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine and the Journal of The American Academy of Dermatology. He lectures at national medical conferences and has a particular interest in the treatment of skin cancer and psoriasis. He is currently co-authoring a medical textbook on geriatric dermatology which is anticipated to be published in 2010.

Dr. Evans is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.  He is also a member of the International Society of Dermatology, National Psoriasis Foundation, American Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association, the Travis County Medical Society, and the Dermatology Foundation.

Dr. Evans volunteers with a free local clinic in Austin and as a faculty member for residency teaching at Brackenridge Hospital. He has served on several volunteer committees with the American Academy of Dermatology, including the Diversity Taskforce, Workforce Taskforce, and Carrier Ploicy and Medical Liability Taskforce. Dr. Evans is also the 2009 President of the Austin Dermatology Society.

Amy A. McClung, MD

Dr. McClung is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology. She was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She graduated magna cum laude from Rice University with degrees in Kinesiology and Spanish. As an undergraduate, she was elected into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. While attending medical school at The University of Texas Medical Branch, she was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, the honor society for top medical graduates. After completing a transitional year at Christus St. Joseph Hospital, she went on to complete her dermatology residency training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.

Dr. McClung has been published in several peer-reviewed journals and presented research findings at national medical conferences. She has also volunteered her skills on medical mission trips to Mexico and Guatemala. She is active in several medical organizations, including the American Academy of Dermatology and the Texas Dermatology Society.

During residency Dr. McClung completed independent research on "Skin Protection in Runners" and the "Behavioral Motivation of Tanners." She is an avid runner and has completed nine marathons. She is an active volunteer for Marathon Kids. She and her husband, Christopher, have recently moved to the Tarrytown section of Austin and have a young son.

Eryn McIntyre, PA-C

Dr. Evans is joined in practice by Eryn McIntyre, PA-C. Ms. McIntyre holds a Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the Louisiana State University Health Science Center. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is licensed by the Texas State Board of Physician Assistant Examiners. She has received specialized training in dermatology and treats a full range of conditions related to hair, skin and nails. She enjoys spending time with her family hiking and travelling.
